Preparing for xmasHolidays, holidays, holidays....Is Santa Claus coming to town??? LOL!
My cousins and I prepared the christmas tree last sunday at home.
Sign of which my holidays have officially started....four weeks to be more precise, before I resume Uni again and get back to RHUL. There has been a really huge change in the weather the past week, it's getting colder each day and even the car windows gets frosty in the mornings...!
No plans as yet for the coming weeks but, for sure, i'll be with family and close friends, and this is what counts the most.
Also, today is karen's birthday...a really good mate of mine at Accenture, back in Mauritius. Wish you a very very very blessed birthday. Hope you enjoy yourself and don't forget to have my share of cake:) You guys never forgot a single birthday, we would celebrate everyone's birthday in the break-out area with a huge cake! hehe :P Anyway, hope you guys are having fun for the new year celebrations...Hey guys, do you still remember this? http://aspspider.ws/supersab58/goodbyeAccenture.htm
Peace always,

December 16 Xmas hols at RHULToday is my last day at RHUL before leaving for xmas holidays (4 weeks of holidaying)! Can't believe it....already 2months and a week since I've been here and the amount of things i've done during this time was great....lectures, seminars, assignments, parties, sight-seeing, meeting old friends from high-school, travelling, eating new food, meeting new people, shopping, making new friends...ouf!
Uni was practically empty today, while i went to the library to return my books before leaving this afternoon. My flatmates Margaret and Enis left yesterday. Then, early this morning, Feride left as well....kinda missing them now.....:(
Below are pics from yesterday...

December 11 J-7 for end of Semester 1Another week for the xmas holidays.
We went for wine tasting on thursday night, but as usual, we got there a "little" bit late, so, obviously we missed a couple of wines, but of course we managed to get a taste of the rest of the wine bottles. After the cheese and wine society, we left for crosslands where there was some RHUL band playing...drums, saxo, guitar, etc....there was a wave of cheering, clapping, singing and shouting!!! :P
Also, on tuesday night, feride, adrien and I went to watch the musical "Little shop of horrors" at the Student's Union. It was just amazing! I didnt know RHUL had so many talents! They sang and acted just like professionals! (Thanks Seet Yuan for the invitation!)
On Friday, Margaret and I went for shopping at Staines. Then in the evening, Adrien's cousin (Louise) from France came to spend the weekend. She arrived in the evening, and we met her at the Eramus Society gathering. She's one of those people with whom you get along with in just a matter of minutes...c t super sympa :) After that, we brought her to the SU party (the theme was "Hogwarts School Disco"). Even if the music was kind of crap, she did enjoy herself, because we all were there to lighten up the atmosphere.
On saturday, i had my laundry done in the morning, then, we brought Louise for some sight-seeing in London. We went to Harrod's where i bought jelly beans (im crazy about them!). And London was soooo crowded on that day....i guess many people were doing their xmas shopping. We got to see at least half a dozen of limousines in the London streets, and one of them was a pink one! hehe :P Unfortunately, it drove by so quickly, so i couldnt get a shot of it. After that, we had dinner at Wagamama in Leicester Square, and walked around in Covent Garden afterwards where we watched a few guys singing and doing stunts, then headed back for Egham. In fact, that day, James bought a Poker game at Camden Town, so when we got back to RHUL that night, we did a little poker game in our kitchen...Interesting and mind-blowing! :P
Sunday was a lazy day!!!....Since it was Louise's last day here, we brought her for Fish and Chips at the local pub in Egham. Then, Feride's friend, Mehmet came to join us afterwards, so we brought him back to the local pub, where Arsenal and Chelsea was on TV..everyone's eyes were glued on that TV! arrrr....football....i can never understand you! :P
And that's it....another week at Uni for the holidays to start...
Meanwhile, love and peace to all bloggers out there,

December 02 My fav song...A few words from my favorite song...If I ain't got you - Alicia Keys
Some people live for the fortune
Some people live just for the fame Some people live for the power Some people live just to play the game Some people think that the physical things Define what's within and I've been there before that life's a bore So full of the superficial Some people want it all But I don't want nothing at all If it ain't you baby If I ain't got you baby Some people want diamond rings Some just want everything But everything means nothing If I ain't got you Some people search for a fountain That promises forever young Some people need three dozen roses And that's the only way to prove you love them Hand me the world on a silver platter And what good would it be with no one to share with no one who truly cares for me A couple of events from the past week reminded me of this song...It's about how we tend to give so much importance to unnecessary material things in our lives, when the best things in life are immaterial. It's crazy how people nowadays have given themselves completely to the world of materialism and how they let themselves be controlled blindly by it. They lead a superficial life and the saddest part is that they are not even aware of it. We should be the actors of our own lives, not the spectators.
Lesson learnt this week: Have the courage to change the things you can, have the serenity to accept the things you can't change and the wisdom to know the difference.
I really LOVE this song...it doesnt matter whether i listen to it, or even play it, or sing it a thousand million trillion times, because whenever i do, it feels just the same way...each time...every time.
Life without music is like a starless night sky - S@b :)
